A Ringgold Tradition Rooted in Love
Some days are about more than fun. The Butterfly Festival brings together laughter, music, and a lot of love, all in memory of Katie Beth Carter. Since 2017, Live and Love Ministries has welcomed families for a day that celebrates her life and the community that carried her family through their loss.
Stroll through booths from local artisans, businesses, and food vendors while local performers fill the afternoon with music. For the kids, there are inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, games, and an arts and crafts tent where little hands can make something to take home.
As the day winds down, everyone gathers for a butterfly release in Katie Beth’s memory, a quiet moment in the middle of a joyful day. Proceeds benefit the Katie Beth Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Katie Beth Carter Memorial School in Nicaragua, and Live and Love Ministries’ work with families who have lost a child.
