This summer, the Ringgold Depot is the setting for something worth making time for. Local artist and art teacher Andrea McGuirt is bringing a four-week beginner watercolor class to downtown Ringgold, and if you’ve always wanted to try watercolor but never had the right place to start, this is it.

Over four Tuesday evenings, you’ll learn the real process and techniques behind watercolor painting in a hands-on, encouraging environment. No experience required. All supplies are provided. And by the time the final class wraps, you’ll leave with a finished 9×12 landscape painting and the confidence that comes from making something with your own hands.

Seats are limited to 30 students. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

About Your Instructor

Andrea McGuirt is a local artist and art teacher at Ooltewah High School with a genuine gift for meeting beginners where they are. Her approach is patient, encouraging, and grounded in real technique, the kind of instruction you can’t get from a video tutorial or a one-night paint event. Andrea creates a space where adults feel comfortable picking up a brush for the first time, asking questions, and discovering what they’re capable of making.
