Six Haunting Tales from the Master of the Macabre

This October, The Ringgold Playhouse invites audiences into the dark and wonderfully creepy world of Edgar Allan Poe. An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe, a play by Robert Mason directed by Char Kent-Plunk, brings six of Poe’s stories to the stage as faithful short-play adaptations.

Familiar favorites like The Tell-Tale Heart and The Cask of Amontillado share the bill with lesser-known gems like The Oblong Box and The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether, making for an evening of Poe at his most chilling.

The Purloined Letter
The Fall of the House of Usher
The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether
The Oblong Box

All Playhouse performances this year are held at The Ringgold Playhouse’s new home on Nashville Street in Downtown Ringgold.

Making a night of it? The Ringgold Haunted Depot is open nearby on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 to 11 PM, so the scares don’t have to end when the curtain falls.
