SUMMARY:Festival of Flags
DESCRIPTION:For two weeks every May and November\, the City of Ringgold raises over 2\,000 flags and crosses to honor fallen soldiers who’ve called Catoosa County home. This bi-annual celebration is known as the Festival of Flags. Some variation of this event has been happening in Ringgold since the 1970s. Residents and visitors alike can view the patriotic spectacle by driving or walking through the Downtown area. Please visit the link below to locate your loved ones’ cross or flag. If you would like to procure a flag for a loved one\, please fill out the form here. Completed forms should be turned in at Ringgold City Hall. Forms must be filled out within 3 years of the veteran’s passing and returned at least one month in advance of the Festival of Flags in order for your flag to be included in the event \nVolunteers organize this event and rely on the community coming together to make it possible. If you are interested in volunteering your time to help put up our veterans memorial flags\, please contact Gilbert Childers (865-300-7057) or Pete Pedigo (423-240-9034).
