This hotel is the perfect halfway point between my home and my family, so I stay here frequently. I also stay here because it is one of my favorite hotels. (I travel for work and go to a lot of hotels.) The staff is always friendly, rooms clean, everything in working order. The breakfasts are amazing (and they have a new yogurt machine!) There are plenty of outlets in the lobby to get work done, and a game station with plenty of games for kids. A nice little gym and pool too. Highly recommend this Tru if you’re ever in the area.

We sold our house in Rock Spring GA and needed a place to stay until closing so we chose Tru in Ringgold. We have had a very pleasant stay. Kenya who was the receptionist during the day was excellent. She helped me with my booking and she was pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms leave something to be desired. They could improve it by 50%. Thus my 4 star review. Everything else was great. Would stay here again.

COCKROACHES and a DIRTY room! I have stayed at many Tru Hotels and have never had a bad experience until this one. The bathroom floor was sticky!!! The sheets were microfiber (they should be cotton for comfort) and very worn. The mattress was uncomfortable and had a big indentation. The screen on the thermostat was unreadable. Breakfast was included. However, the choices were limited, and there was no yogurt. They charged $75 for 2 small dogs. When we brought the cockroach to the front desk in the morning, we were only given a $20 discount. It was very disappointing and reinforced my dislike for staying in a hotels.

Convenient to the interstate with some fast food nearby. Rooms were clean. LOVE the all solid surface floors. Grungy carpet always makes me a little suspect.

The rooms are fairly new, and everything is in working order. They offer free coffee and tea 24/7, free breakfast. They have a mini laundromat and nice indoor pool and fitness center. We always stay overnight on our 1,500+ mile journey because it's clean and dog friendly for a fee.

I was pleased with the appearance and cleanliness of the room aside from the fact that it could have used a good mopping and the shower head needs to be cleaned because it's a little mildewy. Could not connect to Wi-Fi unless I was within 10 ft of the office. Definitely need to add some extenders or remove Wi-Fi from the advertisement. Ice machine needs servicing. Aside from that; very happy with the staff and amenities. I live in Ringgold and may just rent this again just to get a break away from the rv. Very satisfied. 👍🙂👍

First room had hair and stains all over the sheets. Fire alarm kept beeping, phone was plugged in but did not work, and refrigerator wasn't working. On the second day of staying here, our door was opened without hardly any notice. The person knocked once and immediately open our door while we were in the room while we had the "do not disturb " sign hung on the doorknob.

Only issue I had was the bed felt kind of janky, but it wasn't the worst I've slept on either, place looked very clean and kept up, the guy behind the counter was very nice.

Only thing I say is if ur dependent on wifi on a laptop or gaming system ask for a room close to the lobby. But the 3 women who work here are amazing and helpful. Rooms are clean. super nice for a super 8. See what I did there?

We had a first floor room, Room 120. The walls were paper thin and we could hear people in the next room just talking to each other. It got really warm in there both nights and we had to turn on the AC, even though nighttime temps were in the 40s. The room and the bathroom were very spacious for us. The only thing I would add in the bathroom would be towel hooks as there were none in ours. There was a leak in the ceiling above our toilet that dripped any time the room above us used water. I informed thee front desk of this issue upon checking out. The lobby and hallways were also very spacious and clean. They were doing some remodeling work in our hallway, so I would have to see the finished product before commenting. The front desk staff and maid service were very attentive and efficient. The biggest letdown by far was the breakfast which is what we were looking forward to to get our day started. If we're in this area again we would stay here again, just not on the first floor. Thank you, staff!

We live close by and stayed because of anticipated bad weather. We went in and prepaid the day before our stay. Michael greeted us and was cordial and very friendly. The room itself was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Thus will be our go to place the next time we need a place to stay during expected bad weather and when my family comes to visit we will definitely see that they stay at this location. All in all we are very pleased with our visit.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I 100% WOULD. We stayed there going down to Florida, not totally impressed but it worked. Wasn’t the cleanest, and breakfast was absolutely awful! Eggs were boiled in a baggie and waffle maker didn’t work. Coming up from Florida back home IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. We finally got to the hotel after a long- traffic filled 12 hour day. My kids were sleeping in the lobby waiting for us to check in. Finally it was our turn to check in, the front desk staff informed us that the MANGER GAVE OUT ROOM AWAY TO SCHOOL KIDS WITHOUT INFORMING US. NO EMAIL- NO CALL. We booked it over a month ago. My kids are school kids, my kids were tried too, we booked the place first. It was spring break so of coarse all the hotels were booked so we were forced to keep driving. USE THIS AS A WARNING, DO NOT IGNORE THE REVIEWS. Go to Spring Hill suites next door, it is way cleaner, nicer and has a better breakfast. THIS HOTEL NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. If you like nasty breakfast, uncomfortable beds and pillows, clean-ish rooms, and a risk of your room getting given away, book here. This is an awful, horrible, no good, poorly ran hotel.

Hotel was under renovation (believe me it needed it), but that was not disclosed on the website, which is something that is normally done. Not exceedingly clean, bedding old and worn. Only one(1) waste paper basket in the entire room! Went to get coffee in the lobby and I found the canister sitting in the middle of the floor and no one around. Coffee maker in the room, disgusting…. All of the hotel common areas had an unpleasant odor. Only one trash can in the entire exterior. Property did not email bill overnight like most Hilton properties, so checkout had a line and was slow. We stay at Hampton Inn’s frequently. This is by far the worst and not a good value.

We always stay within the Hilton chain for a reason. This is the worst stay. We stayed in room 120, it wasn’t even swept, the furniture and paint on walls are falling apart, discolored walls and furniture. The trims on the walls are missing. The pool wasn’t opened and it wasn’t disclosed even tho I went straight to their website to make a reservation. Having small children this is something my kids look forward too. I get it if they are remodeling but they should have published it on their website to have people decide if they want to stay or not. It’s better to be upfront.

The hotel is clean, stylish, and reasonably priced. I also appreciated that they use Dove products for the bathroom, which is a nice touch. However, there are some drawbacks. The room lacked basic amenities like cups and coffee, so I had to go back to my car for a cup. Additionally, there were no closets in the room, which was inconvenient. The breakfast area had high tables with charging stations, which were not kid-friendly, and the few lower tables available ran out quickly. Overall, it’s a very nice and comfortable hotel, but it feels like a beautifully wrapped gift with limited practicality

We stopped by for a night hoping it will be good value for money, was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room we have, dusty ano there's only 1 chair available to sit on, i have to move the low bench chair and found all the dirt under it. It looks clean from the first look, but obviously they didn't thoroughly clean it knowing it's where they put guests with pets, deep clean it because we pay extra $50 for our pet. even the shower had some brown stains in the floor. for the money we pay, the least you can give us is a decent clean room. Breakfast is not appetizing as they only have microwaved eggs and sandwiches, very unhealthy options for almost $200 hotel overall we are dissatisfied with our experience

This is by far one of the worst experiences ever! We have an emotional support dog. They charged us 50$ per night which is illegal. The windows have see thru blinds that let the streetlight in. We didn’t have to use the room lights. The traffic from the interstate was very loud.. no insulation in the hotel, and finally the fridge was broken and said they’d fix it the next day… they did not… charging 50$ for dog and had no dog park but just a muddy area in front of checkin… my husband’s father passed away and this is not the added stress we needed. Shameful service… Update… the mgr called me back today. He was very argumentative and a smartelick. A total waste of my time! This chain is very “low class” check your card because they will overcharge you! Chris was the “manager’s “ name. Never using this hotel again! If you have an emotional support dog, they will charge you 50$ a night. They do not honor the federal mandate!! Top ten worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at!!

First time staying in an Avid hotel and I liked it very much. Rooms are small but have a great layout, clean and comfortable. The only problem was that there was not hot water in the shower, I hope this is a one time problem because I definitely consider using this hotel brand when needed. We only spent one night since we needed to rest during a road trip but I can see myself staying at an avid hotel in a business trip too.

Profoundly disappointed by this hotel. In the photos and description, it presents itself as an excellent hotel, and I had high expectations. In front of the elevators on the first floor, there's a sign that says "IHG Clean Promise," but I must say that I did not find this promise of cleanliness in the room they assigned me. The floors were dirty, neither cleaned nor washed, with stains, hair, and dirt everywhere. The sink was dirty with toothpaste and hair, and there were dead flies on the window sill, which I noticed the next morning when I opened the curtain to light the room. Even the phone near the bed was dirty. Not to mention the chaos that occurred the evening we arrived. Kids running through the hallways, shouting, and others playing tennis in the parking lot, which is unsafe both for guests arriving at the hotel and for the kids playing in the parking lot in front of the entrance. The experience was truly disappointing. Luckily, I stayed only one night, and I don't think there will be a second chance. I recommend checking the cleanliness of the rooms before assigning them to guests for the sake of future guests if you still want guests. I am attaching some photos to demonstrate the critical situation I found.

I'm not going to lie. Very relaxed feel to this hotel. It is definitely updated for the most part. There could be more work done. You can tell it's a well used hotel by the scars on the doors and the smells in the hallways. Smells like an old roadway inn. I've I stayed at a lot of Holiday inn expresses and this is bottom of the barrel for the price you pay. It's definitely clean and comfortable but I just feel that it should be maybe $80. I think attention to detail could benefit this place. Service animal friendly.

Great hotel! We would recommend and we would def stay again! The pool water was cold is the only complaint from the family 🤣 very clean! Great staff. Great rates! $145 on a Saturday night. That’s cheap! Good breakfast. Nice lobby! Highly recommend.

I was here for 3 days (Labor day weekend)The rooms were nice, the front office people were great and everyone was friendly and helpful at the front office. The breakfast food was ok there are a lot of restaurants nearby I will say there is an old smell in the halls I would suggest maybe some type of plug in or air freshener but that's not a big deal. I will definitely be back again. The two housekeepers are nice as well the man housekeeper seems to have a little attitude but he might have been having a bad day either way it's a great Hotel and I'll be back.

We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was really busy and options were limited. They were working hard to replenish items as they ran out. The room was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the pool with kids! Things needed to be cleaned better. Glass in the room needed cleaning, edges and corners of room, hallways, elevators needed cleaned. The pool has some trash and things that weren't cleaned over 2 days and there weren't towels stocked. Our bathroom exhaust fan wasn't working and the AC blew directly on to the bed with no way to direct the fan upwards which was uncomfortable. Overall we liked it but a couple things could be improved!

Booked this because of two beds and a couch. Wasn't expecting such a big room and the couch to have a trundle bed underneath!!! The closet was huge. Six people could probably stand inside. If you have a crew of 6 (we had 3), this would be a great deal. Breakfast was a good typical hotel breakfast. They even had gluten free bread.

Nice place but could use just a little attention to cleanliness detail. The pool area could be cleaned better throughout the day. The corners of our room were dirty. Crumbs on sofa, under the edge of bed, behind the doors, ect. But overall not a bad stay.

After a long day of driving we needed a clean reasonably priced hotel for a quick well deserved sleep and shower. Penny was working at the front desk and I felt so welcomed. She gave us a great room, easy check in and was so sweet. I felt like I had met an old long lost friend! The rooms are clean, coffee and muffins for breakfast. Nothing fancy but super nice! I can’t say enough good things! I highly recommend it. Beds were super comfortable! Free wi fi too.

The room was quite nice! It was also very clean!! The only concern I have is that their website was not working correctly, I had to try 3 times to get any confirmation number, and then when I arrived, they told me I had 3 rooms reserved. She offered to call them the next day (because it was a Sunday) to make sure the other 2 got canceled and not charged....I certainly hope that she keeps her word. As long as that happens as promised, it's a great place to stay!

Staff is extremely rude. Kept getting excuses about room service not being performed. Every conversation seemed hostile on their part. The area around the hotel and their stairs is filthy. It seems as tho the staff/owners hate thier customers

Dude up front from Jamaica is so very friendly. Very accommodating and polite. Keep him! Off the highway close to multiple food choices. Gas. Park at ur door. Laundry on the breeze way but it’s $4 to wash $4 to dry. No tub just shower in the room I was. Didn’t take advantage of hot breakfast. Beds are comfy good pillows. Quiet. Low volume area. Well lit and affordable

Just want to mention the above and beyond customer service! Ecko, the gentleman at the front desk was exceptional. He was fantastic to deal with, he genuinely cared about the quality of my stay. I wish everyone had customer service like this. I will definitely be back when I’m in town again.

Very friendly staff. The manager and lobby attendant were really nice and made me feel very welcome. The lobby had a nice recent renovation. It was clean and stylish. They also had a nice breakfast bar which i was not expecting. It was clean and organized, and there was plenty of space to dine. They expanded the lobby into a room next door and added a fitness room. I used it and had a nice little workout, even though i was not expecting to have that. People complain that there is a cemetery next door. I do not understand the problem. it's across the parking lot, but why would that be at all a problem? They are the quietest neighbors. Location is great, right off the highway, but not right next to the road so you do not have too much noise from brakes and cars and stuff. A couple hundred meters back from the main drag is nice. Gas stations and convenience stores and fast food right there. The room i stayed in was spotless. Very clean and well stocked. I have two little kids and we all felt great and clean and safe there. I would definitely stay again.

Nice n clean rooms ,, the shower area is newly remodeled and looks fantastic... unfortunately when we stopped by for rates they were higher then what we seen on line ,, so we booked on line while in their lobby... I would think by 9 pm they should offer at least the same rates as advertised on line,,, a full room is better then an unpaid empty room !! The check in agent was very nice and funny,, we enjoyed seeing the " friends" he referred too !!
