DESCRIPTION:Lace Up\, Dress Up\, and Run for a Good Cause \nHalloween comes to the streets of downtown Ringgold with the Nightmare on Nashville Street 5K. Runners and walkers set off from downtown and follow the course down a spooky nature trail\, and costumes are highly encouraged\, whether you’re chasing a personal best or just out for a fun fall evening. \nChoose a timed 5K if you’re racing the clock or an untimed 5K if you’d rather take it at your own pace. Every registration includes a race sweatshirt\, and performance awards go to the fastest male and female runners in each age bracket. \nNow in its fourth year\, the race is hosted by the Evitt Foundation\, a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) that supports child welfare and works to reduce hunger in North Georgia. 100% of proceeds benefit children and families in the community. \nMaking a day of it? Start your morning at the Rabbit Valley Farmers Market from 9 AM to 1 PM\, let the kids trick or treat at downtown businesses from noon to 3 PM\, and swing by the Catoosa County Library’s Trunk or Treat at the Colonnade from 3 to 5 PM before race-day packet pickup.
