Presented by The Ringgold Youth Council

A Night Out with Living Legends is an interview-style series that lets attendees listen to and ask questions of the featured guest speakers. On February 20th at the Ringgold Depot, the Ringgold Youth Council will be hosting its second Living Legends program featuring guests Jesse and Joy Thornton!

In honor of Black History Month, the Youth Council will be delving into the challenges and triumphs Jesse has experienced growing up as a black man in Ringgold. The couple will share key moments of their lives, like their experience in school, becoming small business owners, and transforming into a world-renowned martial arts competitor. They will offer their unique perspectives on serving our community and discuss their role in making Ringgold a better place. Be a part of this insightful conversation by joining us at 6:30 pm on Feb. 20th.

The Ringgold Youth Council believes it is vital that all parts of Ringgold’s history are remembered, and they created this series so the public can learn more about the history that has yet to receive enough attention or exploration. A Night Out with Jesse and Joy Thornton and the other upcoming installments of this series are free and open to the public. Attendees can park in the public parking areas on and around Depot Street, as shown on the map below, and walk to the Ringgold Depot for the event.

Who are the other legends we will be chatting with? Find out soon! Keep an eye out here or on The Ringgold Youth Council’s Facebook Page to get the first look at all the exciting interviews to come.
