Traveling through the area and I ordered the Charro Chicken; the cheese sauce was amazing. Wife was impressed with the Flautas. Bar area had several TVs for sporting events. Nice size dining room that can accommodate different groups of guests.

It's a really unique place. The tables and chairs are all hand painted, lots of televisions (sports bar feel) and clean. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. It will give the other local places a run for their money IF business picks up. I highly recommend the food.

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at the new El Charro Bar and Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was impressive from start to finish! Upon arriving, I was initially a bit skeptical, as the parking lot was fairly empty. In my experience, a quiet lot often hints at an underwhelming atmosphere or lackluster food. But I was hungry, craving Mexican food, and decided to trust my instinct to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! Walking inside, I was immediately struck by the unique ambiance—a charming blend of restaurant and sports bar, tastefully designed with authentic touches of Mexican culture. The decor struck a perfect balance: vibrant and genuine without feeling overwhelming. From the colors and wall art to the subtle decorations, music, and even the table covers, everything reflected the warmth and vibrancy of Mexican culture, sparking my excitement to taste their food. Being from Southern California and El Paso, Texas, I know how hard it can be to find authentic Mexican flavors here in Tennessee. So when our friendly hostess promptly greeted us and seated us, my anticipation grew. The evening’s special was margaritas, and with tempting flavor options, I couldn’t resist trying both the mango and strawberry margaritas. The menu offered a diverse selection, but one item caught my eye: Tacos de Papa—a childhood favorite that took me back to cherished memories of sharing this dish with my father. I added rice and beans to my order, knowing these staples would reveal just how authentic and flavorful this place truly was. My girlfriend opted for the chicken taco salad. As we sipped our margaritas, which were as delicious as they looked, we were brought a complimentary basket of chips and salsa—an ideal pairing that amplified the laid-back, welcoming vibe of El Charro. It was beginning to feel like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem. To our surprise, Angel, the owner and chef, stopped by our table, introduced himself, and welcomed us warmly. His friendliness and passion for his restaurant added such a personal touch to our experience. He shared that El Charro was just a few months old—a detail that only added to the sense of discovery. Then, the moment of truth arrived: our food. Presented beautifully, the dishes looked every bit as good as I had hoped. But, of course, taste is what matters most, and El Charro did not disappoint. My Tacos de Papa transported me back to my childhood with each bite, and the rice and beans were as flavorful and comforting as the ones my mom used to make. My girlfriend, who rarely takes leftovers, couldn’t finish her chicken taco salad but loved it so much that she asked for a to-go box. In short, our visit to El Charro was an absolute delight, from the warm welcome and authentic atmosphere to the incredible food and drinks. Angel and his team have created something truly special here, and we’re thrilled to have discovered it. This is a place we’ll definitely return to, and we look forward to seeing it flourish. Thank you, Angel, and the El Charro team, for a memorable evening and for making us feel right at home!

I have had lunch there a couple of times. It was always good. But the last time I had a hair in my chicken dumplings. Need less to say. I lost my appetite. The cook had long dirty hair and just a ball cap on. Hopefully it has changed.

My roommate in the area talked about this place a lot so I went and checked it out. It is somewhere you could definitely go in a date if you really like good ol’ American food. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The food is also really solid and comes out quick. I’ve been back a few times since and each time I’ve had a good experience no matter what me or my guests have ordered.

Great location. Nice patio. Quick service. Food came out in about 15 min. Food was mediocre. We got fish taco and chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwich was ok. Chicken was tender on a potato bun, not bad. Fries were soggy. Chips were stale. Salsa wasnt great. But it was convenient . Lots of seating. Lots of tvs for sports fans. Personally, I'll never go back. I'm not into sports so no incentive. Cause I cook way better at home. Don't need to pay for mediocre.

Updated Review: I adore this place, but haven’t been in a while. My husband and I decided to stop in today and have lunch and when I tell you that the food and service were even better than the first time going, I mean it! Jennifer was an absolute pleasure. She was training a newer waitress and had the most amazing personality. She made us feel right at home. They kept our drinks and sauces filled and offered new suggestions to try. Wonderful customer service. You can tell Jennifer takes pride in her job and she’s great at it. Now let’s get to the food!! The fried pickles were hot, crispy, salty, and fresh. I, of course, had to get the double dipped wings again and they were so crispy and fresh. The seasoning is perfect and they were so hot that they had steam rolling out of them. Just absolutely amazing. Still my favorite wings to date! Even down to the chips and salsa, or the fries that my husband got…everything was very well seasoned and you could taste the freshness. Rita, who is the GM, can THROW DOWN in the kitchen. This place exceeded my expectations yet again! Wonderful spot and the perfect atmosphere for the family, a lunch/dinner date, or even a group setting with friends and colleagues! I love this place. The food was fresh and amazing. The double dipped wings were some of the best wings I’ve ever had. They were crispy and not overdone on the inside. The coleslaw was so refreshing. The food was hot and very well seasoned and cooked. Even down to the fried pickles I was so pleased. The service was quick and super friendly. If you haven’t tried it then you’re definitely missing out.

Jefferson’s is a fantastic spot that’s clean, welcoming, and perfect for a great meal.. We originally opted to sit outdoors, but the lack of heaters made it a bit too chilly.. Thankfully, our wonderful waitress went above and beyond to find us a table inside, where we enjoyed outstanding service and delicious food.. Everything we ordered, from the juicy burgers to the perfectly crispy funnel fries and even the kids’ mini corn dogs, was fresh and flavorful.. But what truly set Jefferson’s apart was the exceptional service! The staff was friendly, attentive, and incredibly fast, making sure our experience was top-notch from start to finish. If you’re looking for a place with great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and service that goes the extra mile, definitely check out Jefferson’s.. You won’t regret it!

I was in Chattanooga running some errands and decided to stop by Jefferson's for lunch and saw that they were closed (I haven't been there in 4 years) and was told they had one in Ringgold. So I stopped in and had there wings and Fries combo ( I recommend their Nashville hot and lemon pepper) and was not disappointed. great service and price. I actually like this one better than the one close to me in Dalton. definitely going back because its worth the extra few miles.

10/6/24 back for lunch and everything was very good. I had the hamburger steak which was cooked to perfection, fried okra with potato salad. Delicious ! First review- First time to try here and it was ok. Bacon and eggs cooked to perfection but not a fan of the biscuits and gravy. Coffee was very good.

By far one of the best places for BBQ, friendly faces, and a relaxed and fun atmosphere! My dad took me here tons as a kid and I still say to this day that Bailey's is one of the best restaurants in the area. The servers know us both by face and name by now and are all incredibly friendly, the decor is welcoming with tons of signs, jokes, and of course pigs lining the walls, there's TVs set up showing various news channels and occasional fun facts about various things for those interested in that, there's a bar table to sit at by the register for those who like a chat with staff, the whole place is usually rather clean and well-maintained, and the food is incredibly good for the price and wait time. Somehow they have the best onion rings I've ever tried, still not sure what they do to make them so good either— highly, highly, highly recommend for anyone in the area looking for good food and great company!

We got here at 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon just before the crowd came in plus the service & food was excellent. Great place in Ringgold, Ga right by the old railroad depot on the main drag through town so lots of exposure for folks to give it a try. My House Special Calzone had sooo much piping hot cheese and meats and veggies! The Hawaiian pineapple pizza was heavenly and the Stromboli spinach and feta cheese absolutely delicious. First time here and we're planning on a return visit in very near future! Revisited recently solo and had a Grecian style chicken on rice that comes with Greek salad and bread sticks with marinara sauce. Delicious!

Went for lunch and had the pizza all you can eat with salad bar. Pizza is above average (average being Dominos or Little Cesars) Was able to request a pizza of my choice to be put out on the bar. The salad bar is good for its size. Service was quite good. Parking can be a little tricky in this area but worse case drive around a little and you'll get a spot. Over all a real good experience.

The staff is great! The front porch dining with a patriotic theme was really. They only have outdoor seating so be prepared to grab and go or bundle up during these winter cold spells. The place has a very tight small parking lot but we went around 6pm on a Saturday and had no problems finding a parking. I called in my order ahead of time for a grab & go. I ordered the cheeseburger special with tots and my wife got the cheeseburger with fries. We wanted to be adventurous and show support to our new local restaurant so we added onion rings, cheese stick and jalapeño poppers. The burgers seemed to be a thick hand pattie pressed beef and were cooked well with just a little outside crisp. They came fully dressed with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickle. The bun was an average sized flat toasted bun and held the burger with toppings together well. For the price, size, and taste I would give the burger a 7 out of 10. The Tots were really good and had a perfect crisp/crunch. They were not too salty and went well with the burger. I love Tots and give them a 8 out of 10 for the crisp, the basket quantity and of course the taste. The fries were crinkle style and were lightly salted. There was alot of fries in the order, as with the tots. The fries fall off on my rating because the were stiff and kind of tasteless. I would have to give the fries a 2 out of 10 for appearance, quantity and taste. They are still a young business and I'm sure they are still finding their way with the menu items. The onion rings were good and probably better if we had ate them there but in the bag they got a little limp on the ride home. They tasted ok and once again a large portion of onion rings were served. Without taking in to account the ride home in the bag, my wife gives the onion rings a 9 out of 10. The 6 piece jalapeño poppers were like the standard type served in restaurant but the crisp on these was great! I give the poppers a 9 out of 10. The 3 piece mozzarella cheesesticks were the average served in most restaurants but had the crisp like the poppers and the tots. I give these sticks a 8 out of 10 for size, portion and taste. This place is a new go for me. I look forward to my next visit for their catfish platter with tots, coleslaw and Texas toast.

I was shocked to see how much burger you actually get. If you’re used to fast food like Cookout, McDonald’s, Hardee’s, etc. then those are nothing compared to the fresh, thick, quality hamburger you can get here at Papa Js. A plus is that’s it’s family owned and operated so they actually care about your food and service compared to many chain restaurants. Just go here if you’re debating whether to or not. It’s worth it.

A few days ago we tried this place out for the first time. It did NOT disappoint. From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere, everything was good. We were quickly greeted and sat in seconds. We decided on a few appetizers and two entrees. We loved the miso soup, and we recommend it. It was the best Miso Soup we’ve ever had so far. We also liked the egg rolls they served with our meals. I usually hate egg rolls, but these were really tasty. I also recommend the General Tso chicken, it had the perfect amount of Spice to it. Florida needs to take notes because this is real BBQ! We made a pit stop at Spencer B’s on our way to Tennessee, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and not overpowering—just pure, smoky goodness. Every bite was worth every penny! The quality and care put into their barbecue are evident, and it’s easily some of the best I’ve had. Can’t wait to stop by again on our way back. Highly recommend to anyone passing through or lucky enough to live nearby!

I hit this place up every time I’m in town for business. The European mindset cannot comprehend roadside barbecue, and this place is so good. It’s full smoke and I haven’t had one thing to disappoint. The killer potatoes are also very yummy. They are generous with the sauce, so if you want it light just ask. They also put 3.5% charge if you’re using a card, so keep that in mind. The prices are also very fair. There is no dining room. It’s a drive thru or take out only. Highly recommended!!

I called to see if I needed to have a minimum amount in order to call in an order. I was told they didn't. So I ordered the killer baked potato with pork. My husband picked it up. It didn't take long for me to have it to eat. When I opened up the container I was surprised since I didn't see the regular shape of a baked potato. Instead the potato was already opened up and found under all the toppings. I really like it this way since it saves me from having to get a knife and cut it open and smash the potato. I was able to eat everything including the skin. It was delicious and a good amount

The first thing I noticed when I came inside was how clean the restaurant looked, don’t judge this place from the outside. The chips are light and crispy, the salsa tasted very fresh and very good. I had the servers (Enrique) recommendation of the fajita burrito with chicken and a hard shell beef taco. Everything was so delicious, I loved how the chicken was seasoned. My husband had steak fajitas that he said was very good. We are passing through the area, I’ll definitely save the location so that I can find it again.

My family and I had waited and waited for someone to take our order. There was an off duty waitress eating with her family that actually got up and left her family and came over and took our order. I asked her if she had eaten yet and she said no but she knew if people had a bad experience they wouldn’t be back. When I was paying the manager or owner pointed out to her that she had left out drinks off our bill, at that point the drinks should have been complimentary any way as it was just two teas and a beer. I hope in time the manager will be thankful she stepped up and bailed them out of several families having a terrible experience and less worried she left the drinks off. Thank you to that off work waitress who helped my family out. You will do amazing things in this world!

Was recommended this place by a person I met. I decided to give it a shot. I have struggled to find good Mexican food on the east coast, however this place wasn’t bad. It could be better, but it could also be much worse. The food comes with good quantities and is more or less done right, but some of the ingredients are a bit off. Also come prepared to be encouraged to speak Spanish in a very friendly way. Enrique was a wonderful server and made my experience very good. The serving time from the time I ordered was also great. Silly other note, the vibe was also really fun if you were a 90’s kid. Definitely hits the nostalgia right I. The feels with the music and what the TVs are playing. Overall will be coming back.
